Sarah Jarvis
DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES
Hello! I’m Sarah Jarvis, and I am proud to be on the First Nation School Board Team!
I am of Irish ancestry and was raised on unceded Anishinaabe Algonquin territory in the Ottawa area.
I fell in love with the North when I began my HR career in Igloolik, Nunavut, where I worked as the Manager of Staffing and Recruitment.
In 2017, I made the big move south to Whitehorse, where I spent the last six years working within the HR branch at the Department of Education, supporting partners, including FNSB.
I am honoured to be the Director of Human Resources, working with board staff and Educators to promote success for all Learners and reconciliation throughout our schools.

Lauren Chapman
HUMAN RESOURCE CONSULTANT, RECRUITMENT
Hi there, I’m Lauren!
I joined the First Nation School Board team as a Government of Yukon Teacher Recruitment Co-ordinator in April 2023, after starting what I hope will be a long-lasting career in HR in October 2022.
I have significant experience in customer service, which I believe will lend to my ability to serve our clients here at FNSB and the Department of Education, and develop long-lasting relationships.
As long-time Yukon residents, my husband and I, along with our two children (eight and 12 years old), enjoy spending our time camping, canoeing, and exploring what the Yukon has to offer.
I love crafting in my spare time, crocheting warm pieces, producing beaded jewelry, and making fantastic artwork with my children!

Angela Bonnycastle
HUMAN RESOURCE ADMINISTRATOR
Hi! My name is Angela Bonnycastle, and I am so excited to be a part of the HR team at the First Nation School Board as an HRC – Teacher Recruiter.
I started working at the Yukon Government’s Public Service Commission as a Labour Relations Assistant in January 2020.
I then got the opportunity to go on a couple of Temporary Assignments, and am now working as an HRC doing something I am passionate about.
I was born in Langley, B.C., and moved up to the Yukon with my family in 1986.
I moved away after high school and lived in Vancouver, Victoria, and Calgary for many years, then eventually moved back to the Yukon in 2001.
I have two daughters, Jada and Myla, and my partner Jason keeps me busy as we both love the outdoors – exploring and hiking new trails whenever we get the chance.

Tasha-Lee Schwantz
SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCES CONSULTANT
Hello! My name is Tasha-Lee Schwantz.
I am Ojibwe First Nations from Fort Williams First Nation in northern Ontario.
While my heritage is rooted in the community I come from, I’ve had the privilege of growing up in the Yukon Territory, which has shaped much of who I am today.
I hold a Bachelor of Business Administration from Yukon University and a master’s in Employment Relations from Memorial University of Newfoundland.
My education has been a stepping stone, giving me the tools to contribute to meaningful work that builds connections, strengthens systems, and fosters inclusive practices.
I am excited to be joining the First Nation School Board. It’s a privilege to be in a position where I can help support the dedicated individuals who are working to educate and create opportunities for the next generation.
My journey, both academically and professionally, has been driven by a desire to make a positive difference in the communities I care about, particularly in the areas of education, leadership, and inclusion.
I’m looking forward to learning from the people I work alongside and contributing in any way I can to support the important work of empowering and uplifting our youth.
